    The plaque was given in 1992 by the National Festival of the West. The Cowboy Spirit Award was presented to Patsy for her lifelong dedication to the western lifestyle.

    Patsy Montana was born Ruby Rose Blevins on October 30, 1908 in Beaudry, Arkansas and grew up near Hope, Arkansas. She was a singer and musician. She performed on various national radio shows including the popular, "National Barn Dance”. She also appeared in several movies. Montana died May 3, 1996.
