    DescriptionGay White's gown she wore during the Inauguration of Frank D. White as forty-first Governor of Arkansas on January 19, 1981. The dress is made of white gorgette in the chemise style. The dress has a band stand-up collar and long, set-in sleeves. The collar closes in the back near a keyhole slit. The collar, cuffs, and sleeves are beaded. The collar and cuffs have glass beads in crossing diamond design. The sheer chiffon sleeves have a pin stripe design. The front of the gown features beaded lines that end in diamond shaped embroidery. The gown falls into a tubular silhouette and features an 18-inch slit at the back of the dress. The gown was designed by Rohn Muse of Little Rock, Arkansas.
