DescriptionPhotograph of UCV Veteran identified as Major General Edward Taylor McConnell. McConnell, a former commander of the 3rd Brigade, Arkansas Division U.C.V., was nicknamed "Bud."

McConnell was born November 20, 1845 in Clarksville, Arkansas. He enlisted in the Confederate Army Sept. 13, 1863 in Clarksville. He served in the 7th Arkansas Cavalry and mainly served as a courier for General W.L. Cabell. McConnell died March 2, 1935 and is buried in Oakland Memorial Cemetery in Clarksville, Arkansas.
