DescriptionUnited Confederate Veterans Reunion Photograph from the John Hill Camp, dated May 10, 1933. The men are identified as Bufford, Poteet, Ogden, Porter, and McConnell, members of the John F. Hill Camp, no. 1031, Clarksville, Arkansas.

McConnell was born November 20, 1845 in Clarksville, Arkansas. He enlisted in the Confederate Army Sept. 13, 1863 in Clarksville. He served in the 7th Arkansas Cavalry and mainly served as a courier for General W.L. Cabell. McConnell died March 2, 1935 and is buried in Oakland Memorial Cemetery in Clarksville, Arkansas.
