    DescriptionArkansas scrip. Twenty-five dollar note from Mississippi County, Arkansas. Unlisted in Rothert book. Serial number: 20. Signed by Robert Price and Geo. Whitcomb. This was issued by the treasurer for Mississippi County for work done on swamp land improvements. It was also used for purchase of swamp lands. This project was tainted by scandal. The notation on verso: "Unpaid for want of funds".
