    DescriptionArkansas scrip. Twenty dollar note from the State of Arkansas. Rothert number is unlisted. Serial number is 16651. From the State Treasurer's Office in Little Rock, Arkansas. This note was receivable in any one of the swamp land districts in payment for swamp and overflow lands at public or private sale.
    Same form as used in the mid 1850's. "6" overwritten on printed five of year date. Signed by Arkansas Confederate Treasurer, O. Basham. "Will be out of date twelve months from the date hereof" is written on verso. Pale green.
