To the right of his picture is a horseshoe with the titles of the music found inside the book. The back cover is an advertisement for Gordon Music Company. Inside contains numerous songs and photo's of Wakely.

    James Clarence Wakeley, better known as Jimmy Wakely, was born in Mineola, Howard County, Arkansas on February 16, 1914. He was a country western singer and actor. From 1930s-1950s, he released records, appeared in several western movies with most major studios, appeared on radio and television, and had his own series of comic books. He appeared in over 65 films and TV episodes. Wakely died on September 23, 1982 in California.
