    Special History: Congresswoman Lindy Boggs' uncle Dr. Wiley Ross Buffington born College Hill, Arkansas August 29, 1885, died New Orleans, La. November 30, 1960. Attended grammar and high school in Magnolia, Ar. Went to Univ. of Arkansas, graduated from Tulane Medical School in 1899. Served as Captain, Army Medical Corp. AEI in WWI. Internationally acclaimed opthamoligist became Head of Dept. of Ophthalmology at Tulane Med. School. Surgeon in charge of ophthalmology at Eye, Ear, Nose, and Throat Hospital. Surgeon at Southern Baptist Hospital. Held offices in various medical organizations. Married Rowena Morrison.
