    John Timothy "Tim" Griffin was born on August 21, 1968 and grew up in Magnolia, Arkansas. He received his Bachelor of the Arts Degree from Hendrix College and his JD from Tulane Law School. Griffin then went on to graduate school at Oxford University. He was elected Lieutenant Governor on November 4, 2014 and was sworn into office in early 2015. His focus while in office is to increase jobs, perpetuate economic development, create more parental choice pertaining to education, and to reform the state government. He married his wife Elizabeth in 2005 and they have to children, a son and daughter.
