DescriptionThe gown worn by Betty Tucker during the Inauguration of Jim Guy Tucker as the Forty-third Governor of Arkansas on December 12, 1992. The gown is a one piece, full length gown made of black velvet and sequins. The bodice is velvet and comes together at a 'V' at the waist, neck, and back. The sleeves are long and narrow, with the cuffs displaying a sequined paisley pattern. The skirt is full and floor length with a heavy fabric decorated in a paisley print. The gown has pleats that fall from the waist and the hem matches the cuffs in color and theme. The skirt has a heavy netting underneath to aid in the fullness.Status
