Description“The Town that Dreaded Sundown” was loosely based on the Phantom Killer, who terrorized Texarkana, Arkansas, during the 1940s. The Phantom Killer was an unidentified serial killer believed to have committed a number of murders--possibly killing as many as six people--in Texarkana between February 23 and May 4, 1946. There was a prime suspect; however, the case has never been solved.
The movie, directed by Arkansas Charles Pierce, was released in 1976.

The dark colored poster shows an image of a hooded man and a nighttime view of a town beneath. Red, white, and yellow print.
