DescriptionLetter written by General M. Jeff Thompson in Lewisville, Arkansas to Missouri Governor Thomas C. Reynolds. Mailed to Marshall, Texas. Thompson mentions his appointment to command the Northern Sub-District of Arkansas. He also mentions a court of inquiry, a feud between Reynolds and Gen. Sterling Price. Reynolds charged that Price used two other officers as scapegoats for his own failures during his failed Missouri raid in October, 1864.
