DescriptionHat worn by Arkansas native Johnny Cash in the 1971 movie "A Gunfight." The movie starred Cash and Kirk Douglas. The movie was produced by Paramount Pictures.

Johnny Cash was born John R. Cash on February 26, 1932, in Kingsland, Arkansas, and raised in Dyess, Arkansas. Nicknamed “The Man in Black," Cash was a singer/songwriter, actor, and author (writing two autobiographies). He acted in both movies and television (including his own variety show, "The Johnny Cash Show"). Cash died September 12, 2003.

A black Western-style felt hat. The hat has an exterior leather band with metal buckle. On the interior leather band is printed: "XDoubleX", "Resistol Self Conforming" and "Mayfair Riding and Sports Shops/Hollywood/Beverly Hills/Palos Verdes, California." On a white tag taped to the interior leather band reads, "J. Cash/#673/2." On the white interior maker's label is printed, "J. Cash/Berman's Costumiers/London/Paris/Hollywood."
