    DescriptionA fan attributed to Anne Wade Roark Brough, wife of Charles Hillman Brough, the Twenty-fifth Governor of Arkansas (1917-1921). The fan features a tortoise shell plastic handle with light and dark ostrich feathers.

    During World War I, Anne served as an active Chairman for the Woman’s Auxiliary of State Council of Defense, the Red Cross's supply- making sessions and Liberty and Victory Loans. Anne also made appearances at Suffragette Rallies in support of the right for woman to vote in the United States.
