    DescriptionA purse attributed to Anne Wade Roark Brough, wife of Charles Hillman Brough, the Twenty-fifth Governor of Arkansas. The bag features multicolored glass beads in a floral design set upon a black background. The beads are pink, green, black, and brown. The bag also features a black beaded fringe along the bottom.

    Anne Brough was the twenty-fifth First Lady of Arkansas, 1917-1921. During World War I, Anne served as an active Chairman for the Woman’s Auxiliary of State Council of Defense, the Red Cross's supply- making sessions and Liberty and Victory Loans. Anne also made appearances at Suffragette Rallies in support of the right for woman to vote in the United States.
