    DescriptionA purse attributed to Anne Wade Roark Brough, wife of Charles Hillman Brough, the Twenty-fifth Governor of Arkansas. The purse is a clutch and features green, pink, blue, brown, silver, and black beads in a floral pattern.

    Anne Brough was the twenty-fifth First Lady of Arkansas, 1917-1921. During World War I, Anne served as an active Chairman for the Woman’s Auxiliary of State Council of Defense, the Red Cross's supply- making sessions and Liberty and Victory Loans. Anne also made appearances at Suffragette Rallies in support of the right for woman to vote in the United States.
