    DescriptionTwo indentical bronze military medals with red and white ribbons. One of the two is pinned to a blue box with velvet lining. In raised lettering on the medal is "Efficiency, Honor, Fidelity," and on the opposite side, "For Good/ Conduct."

    George Edward Fisher was born on April 8, 1923 near Searcy, Arkansas. Fisher was a political cartoonist whose work influenced and helped define Arkansas politics for a generation. In 1943, he was called to active duty with the Army Reserves. Fisher passed away on December 15, 2003 of a heart attack at his drawing board in his Little Rock home.
