    DescriptionAnne McMath's dress she wore during the Inauguration of Sid McMath as the thirty-fourth Governor of Arkansas on January 11, 1949. The sleeveless dress is made of black velvet and features a circular yoke that is embellished with silver braids and rhinestones. The bodice is fitted with soft gathers in a shirred band that starts below the bust and extends slightly below the natural waistline. The skirt is circular in style and is floor length with a train. The back of the gown has been draped into a soft bustle and is accented with a velvet bow.
