    DescriptionMabel Parnell's shoes she wore to the Inaugural Ball celebrating Harvey Parnell as the twenty-ninth Governor of Arkansas in March of 1928. The shoes are black suede and silk. The style are pumps and feature heels. The interior of the shoes are lined in gray fabric. The interior of the right shoe has a makers stamp which states: "Grandeur."

    As twenty-ninth First Lady of Arkansas Mabel Parnell, sat of the Board of the Florence Crittenden Home and Arkansas Tuberculosis Association. Mabel was born in 1885 in Desha County, Arkansas. She died on June 7, 1964.
