    DescriptionMabel Parnell's scarf she wore to the Inauguration of Harvey Parnell as the Twenty-ninth Governor of Arkansas on March 4, 1928. The scarf is 84 inches long, made of black silk net, and edged in gold and silver thread. The thread is embroidered in a floral design.

    As twenty-ninth First Lady of Arkansas Mabel Parnell, sat of the Board of the Florence Crittenden Home and Arkansas Tuberculosis Association. Mabel was born in 1885 in Desha County, Arkansas. She died on June 7, 1964.
