    DescriptionThe gown worn by Betty Bumpers to a White House dinner in Washington, D.C. honoring Senior Vice Premier of the People's Republic of China, Deng Xiaoping. The dinner was hosted by President Jimmy and Roselynn Carter on Jany 15, 1979. The gown is pink and yellow, made of silk, and has an accompanying overcoat. The gown is sleeveless with a pink silk top and three inch wide beading at the waist. The skirt is full length and yellow silk. The overcoat is pink and lined with yellow. The buttons on the overcoat mimics the beading on the dress. The dress was produced by Rizik Brothers, Incorporated in Washington, D.C.
