    DescriptionUS Model 1850 foot soldiers sword. Brass hilt marked "EL". Grip is wrapped in sharkskin. Leather scabbard with brass fittings. Blade engraved on both sides with military style engraving. Top of the blade near the hilt is marked with the maker's name. Etched on blade: "E Pluribus Unum". There are also design etchings along the top part of the blade.
