    DescriptionJimmy Wakely sheet music, "Hang Your Head In Shame." Recorded in 1944 with the Riders of the Purple Sage. Wakely is on the cover wearing a light colored cowboy hat, white jacket with dark stripes and a poke-a-dot tie. Leeds Music Corp. is enclosed in a box on left bottom corner and "Sincerely Jimmy Wakely" in cursive on bottom right corner.

    James Clarence Wakeley, better known as Jimmy Wakely, was born in Mineola, Howard County, Arkansas on February 16, 1914. He was a country western singer and actor. From 1930s-1950s, he released records, appeared in several western movies with most major studios, appeared on radio and television, and had his own series of comic books. He appeared in over 65 films and TV episodes. Wakely died on September 23, 1982 in California.
