    James Clarence Wakeley, better known as Jimmy Wakely, was born in Mineola, Howard County, Arkansas on February 16, 1914. He was a country western singer and actor. From 1930s-1950s, he released records, appeared in several western movies with most major studios, appeared on radio and television, and had his own series of comic books. He appeared in over 65 films and TV episodes. Wakely died on September 23, 1982 in California.

    There are ten men and two women in the photo. Some of the individuals are Lee "Lasses" White, John James, Foy Willing, and "The Riders of the Purple Sage," as indicated below.
