DescriptionBlack and white photo of staff of 15 men standing behind Gen. Steele seated. All are wearing long military Union officer's coats. Major Joy is the third man from the right. The top center is "Major General Frederick Steele and Staff" Below in smaller print is "Department of Arkansas, etc. Headquarters, Little Rock. Photograph taken December, 1864" The photo is surrounded by a cardboard frame. Below the photo are all the names of the soldiers in the photo. At the very bottom is small black print is "Reproduced from original in possession of companion Edmund F.S. Joy, N.Y. Commander, M.O.L.L.U.S."
