James, Maxine and Bonnie Brown, together known as The Browns, were an American country and folk vocal trio originally from Sparkman, Arkansas. The Browns are best known for their Grammy- nominated hit, “The Three Bells”, from 1959. Other hits include “Scarlet Ribbons”, “The Old Lamplighter” and “Big Daddy”. The siblings appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show and Dick Clark’s American Bandstand. In 1963, the Browns joined the Grand Ole Opry and in 1967, they disbanded.
