Description1904 sterling silver World's Fair spoon commemorating the one hundred year anniversary of the Louisiana Purchase. The U.S. Government Building is minted in the bowl of the spoon. The end of the handle portrays an image of Jefferson. Under him is the American Eagle with two flags grasped by its talons. At the bottom of the flags is a map of the United States with the Louisiana Territory Sectioned out. On the reverse side of the handle is the Cascade Gardens and the Louisiana Purchase Monument.
