DescriptionThe metal match safe is made of metal and is approximately two and three quarter inches by one and one half inches with a striker on the bottom. One side has images of both Jefferson and Napoleon embossed with a scroll or ribbon with the words "commemorating the purchase of the Louisiana Territory" hanging between the portraits of the two gentlemen. The other side of the match safe displays the Machinery Building and written underneath the building is written " Machinery Building, World's Fair St. Louis 1904. The match safe is made of nickel plated brass.
