Description"Underground Railroad" pattern. Red and blue grid is the "railroad"; the print blocks are the "underground" part. Quilt is multicolored.Made by Rosie Jackson; purchased at a sale at her home in East Little Rock. Made in the 1930s judging by the prints used in the quilt. At the time of purchase, Mrs. Jackson was bedridden and going into care at a nursing home. Pattern is her version of the underground railway with the red and blue grid representing the "railroad" and the print blocks the "underground"
