    DescriptionCarte de Visite reproduction of ambrotype of General Earl Van Dorn, a confederate general in the Civil War. Van Dorn was killed by the husband of a woman he was having an affair with.
    Image is oval in shaped, bordered by a Victorian frame. Van Dorn is seated, dressed in a shuit and tie. At the bottom of the image is a handwritten inscription "Earl Van Dorn/murdered in 65."
