Quilt, "Donkey"
Skip to main contentDescription"Donkey" pattern quilt made by Beatrice Ruth Calhoun-Williamson. White and black with four red donkeys. Made in Texarkana, Pattern from the Kansas City Star Newspaper. Ruth was born, raised, married, and spent most of her life in Texarkana. She married William Williamson about 1910 and first child, a boy, died during influenza epidemic of 1917. Daughter, Maxine, was born 1919. No other children.
