    DescriptionLetter is from the mayor of Hope, Arkansas, John P. Vesey. It is expressing appreciation for her performances on KWKH and requesting "The Cowgirl's Lament." There is a note at the bottom from Patsy Montana saying that it is her first letter from a VIP. The letter is dated 1932 and the note is dated 1971. The letterhead is from the City of Hope.

    Patsy Montana was born Ruby Rose Blevins on October 30, 1908 in Beaudry, Arkansas and grew up near Hope, Arkansas. She was a singer and musician. She performed on various national radio shows including the popular, National Barn Dance”. She also appeared in several movies. Montana died May 3, 1996.
