Description25 cent defense stamp album belonging to Nancy Hall. The front reads "For the purchase of United States War Savings Bonds" Below that, there is a picture of a bald eagle holding an American flag. Inside the booklet, there are slots for 25 cent stomps totaling up to $18.75. There are 29 stamps within this booklet. On the inside front cover, the name "Bob Bailey" has been writting in pen, as well as a complete address at 1518 battery street, Little Rock, AR. Nancy Johnson Hall (1904–1991) was the first woman in Arkansas to be elected to a constitutional office. Upon the death of her husband C.G. "Crip" Hall in 1961, she was appointed to serve the remainder of his term as secretary of state by Governor Orval Faubus. Hall then went on to be elected as Arkansas state treasurer in 1962, running unopposed in the general election as a Democrat. Hall served as treasurer for 18 years.
