    DescriptionThe 30th/25th Regiment Arkansas Infantry flag dated to 1861 - 1863. The 25th Arkansas Infantry was reorganized as the 30th Arkansas Infantry Regiment on June 18, 1862, when Arkansas’ 11th Battalion was increased to a regiment. The regiment’s battle honors show that they took part in the unsuccessful attack at Farmington, outside of Corinth, Mississippi on May 9, 1862, and at Richmond, Kentucky in August of 1862.

    This flag reflects Major-General John McCown’s pattern. It consists of St. Andrew’s cross without stars. It is a cotton flag with a dark blue field 3 inches wide, with white border on all four sides, four 3/4" wide cross, and lettering in blue or white twill. This flag was carried until it was captured on December 31, 1862 at Murfreesboro, TN by the 2nd Ohio Volunteers.
