This flag reflects Major-General John McCown’s pattern. It consists of St. Andrew’s cross without stars. It is a cotton flag with a dark blue field 3 inches wide, with white border on all four sides, four 3/4" wide cross, and lettering in blue or white twill. This flag was carried until it was captured on December 31, 1862 at Murfreesboro, TN by the 2nd Ohio Volunteers.
