    DescriptionA purse used by Margaret Cherry during the Inaugural Ball celebrating Francis Cherry as the thirty-fifth Governor of Arkansas in January 1953. The purse features white and gold beading with a gold-tone front lid accented with rhinestones and a gold snake chain.

    Margaret Frierson Cherry was born on August 21, 1912. She served as First Lady of Arkansas from 1953-1955. She died on July 7, 1990.
