Johnny Cash was born John R. Cash on February 26, 1932 in Kingsland, Arkansas and raised in Dyess, Arkansas. Nicknamed “The Man in Black”, he was a singer/songwriter, actor and author (writing two autobiographies). He acted in both movies and television (including his own variety show, The Johnny Cash Show). Cash died September 12, 2003.
A Johnny Cash album entitled "Ring of Fire - The Best of Johnny Cash". The cover of the album features the album title, a list of songs, as well as a color photograph of Cash with a multicolored abstract print superimposed on it. The back cover features a small photograph of Cash along with a description of the album by Joe Goldberg.
