DescriptionQuilt made by African-American Lida Montgomery from southern Arkansas. Montgomery made quilts in the 1940's and 1950's. The large quilt has a double wedding ring pattern, a traditional quilt design has been popular with quilters since the 1900's. This quilt has a white background and the rings are made from an assortment of pink and blue patchwork. The backing on the quilt is white.Status
