DescriptionAfghan knitted by African-American Lida Montgomery from southern Arkansas. Montgomery made quilts in the 1940's and 1950's. She moved into making afghans in the 1970's. This afghan is an assortment of colors, layered in a stripe pattern. Each end has a simular pattern moving inwards, starting with a wide orange stripe followed by brown, mustard yellow, green, orange thinner stripes. The pattern of strips move into different shades of purple, followed by yellow, green, reds, moving into multiple shades of blue and centered is white and pink stripes.Status
