    Jeannette Edris Rockefeller was born on July 13, 1918 in Seattle, Washington. Jeannette married Winthrop Rockefeller on June 11, 1956. In 1959 Jeannette and Winthrop did a statewide fundraising campaign for the Museum of Fine Arts (now the Arkansas Arts Center). Jeannette became the president of the Arkansas Arts Center Board of Trustees in 1960 and held the position until 1968. Jeannette divorced Winthrop in 1971. She died on December 7, 1997 and is buried in Seattle.

    Winthrop Rockefeller was born on May 1, 1912 in New York City, New York and moved to Morrilton, Arkansas in 1953. Rockefeller lost the 1964 Governor's election to Gov. Orval Faubus before becoming the thirty-seventh Governor of Arkansas in 1967. Rockefeller died of pancreatic cancer on February 22, 1973, in Palm Springs, California.
