DescriptionA promotional card from Arkansas Fruit. The card contains a picture of Ouachita gapes on the left side and text on the right. There is a quote on the back of card by J.W. McSlarrow. It reads, "ARKANSAS. (BY THE ONE WHO KNOWS.) There broad plantations with abundance smile, Rich as the famous Delta of the Nile; Cotton is King. Yet every product of the Temp'rate Zone, In great abundance as was ever known, The soil will bring. There grows the oak, the walnut and the pine, The fig, the peach, the apple and the vine, In every section. No fruit on earth can with that fruit compare, In beauty, flavor, qualities most rare, All in Perfection. Forests with game, rivers with fish abound, Rich vegetation covers all the ground Spontaneously. A land of plenty, liberty and law; Such is the matchless State of ARKANSAS; Go there and see." The card is promoting Arkansas as "the World's Orchard."
