    James Madison Robinson is the father of Arkansas Governor Joseph T. Robinson. James was born on November 14, 1816 in New York and died on March 2, 1892; he was a doctor by profession, but he also farmed and preached during his life. He is buried in Concord Cemetery in Furlow, Arkansas.
