    DescriptionA glass jar and silver lid belonging to Governor Jeff Davis' family. The glass jar has a filigree design on each side. The lid contains a capital "D" in the center which is surrounded by an elegant intricate floral and swirl design.

    Jefferson "Jeff" Davis was born in Rocky Comfort, Arkansas on May 6, 1862 and his wife Ina McKenzie Davis was born on October 6, 1862. Jeff Davis served as the twentieth Governor of Arkansas from 1901 to 1907.
