DescriptionA red cotton-polyester blend t-shirt supporting the re-election of Dale Bumpers to the United States Senate. The shirt's design resembles the Arkansas state flag. It consists of a red background with a white diamond with a blue outline in the center. Inside the diamond it reads "RE-ELECT/ Dale Bumpers/ SENATOR" with "Dale Bumpers" in blue and "RE-ELECT" and "SENATOR" in red. Below the diamond in white it reads, "The Arkansas Advantage."

Dale Leon Bumpers was born on August 12, 1925 in Charleston, Arkansas. After serving as the Governor of Arkansas for four years, Bumpers ran for the U.S. Senate in 1975 and won, defeating longtime Senator J. William Fulbright. Bumpers served as a U.S. Senator for twenty-four years during which he highly supported environmental legislation, expansion of funds and land to the National Park System, and efforts to reduce national debt. Bumpers efforts in environmental legislation and the preservation of parklands and wetlands awarded him the Ansel Adams Award from the Wilderness Society in 1998.
