DescriptionA coffee mug featuring the McClellan-Kerr Navigation logo. The mug is blue with a gold emblem. The emblem features a gold oval with "McClellan-Kerr" written at the top and "Waterway to the World" at the bottom. The inside of the oval has the shapes of Arkansas and Oklahoma connected and has a line to show where the navigation system runs. "Arkansas River Navigation System" is written inside of the shape of Oklahoma.

The McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System (MKARNS) was the largest civil works project ever undertaken by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at the time of its opening. Today, it is responsible for $1 billion to $2 billion in trade transportation in Arkansas each year and from $100 million to $1 billion in trade transportation in Oklahoma. The system has numerous flood protection projects, hydro powder plants, and soil conservation and recreational areas. The system was originally named the "Arkansas Verdigris Waterway" prior to legislation changing the name. It is now named after Arkansas Senator John McClellan and Oklahoma Governor and junior senator Robert Kerr who championed waterway transportation in the Senate.
