    Description1983.052.01: A stained white cotton dress. Has three embroidered white flower buttons and three embroidered flowers at the top. There is lace around the neck and sleeves and hemline. The dress fastens in back with one button.

    1983.052.02: A white cotton slip, sleeveless, scallop edge hem, gathered waist, two buttons fasten the back, embroidered flowers at bottom front.

    The Westphal family immigrated from Germany in the 1870s and settled in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas. They are one of three of the original settler families in the area.
