Johnny Cash was born John R. Cash on February 26, 1932, in Kingsland, Arkansas, and raised in Dyess, Arkansas. Cash was a singer/songwriter, actor, and author (writing two autobiographies). He acted in over 20 movies and television series (including his own variety show, "The Johnny Cash Show"). Cash died September 12, 2003.

The photograph features Johnny Cash, alongside costar Kirk Douglas, on the set of "A Gunfight". Cash is wearing a black collared shirt and is positioned looking out of the frame. "A Gunfight" was produced by Paramount Pictures in 1970.
