    Description1983.051.01: Dress is stained white cotton with 3 circular designs around the front collar. There is a thread design, loop design, thread design, pleats, loop design around waist and downward of the dress. The dress fastens in back with two small white buttons. The dress has long sleeves. (20" x 17.5")

    1983.051.02: Slip. Stained white cotton. From the waist down there is a flower design. There is lace trim at the bottom and the slip is pleared front and back. (15.5 x 20.75)

    The Westphal family immigrated from Germany in the 1870s and settled in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas. They are one of three of the original settler families in the area.
