Harry Thomason was born in Hampton, Arkansas in 1940. Thomason is a writer, producer, and director. He wrote and directed “The Hunting of the President,” and produced and directed the television series “Evening Shade,” and “Designing Women.” He was nominated for four primetime Emmys for his work on “Designing Women.”

In the opening credits two historic Little Rock homes appear; the Villa Marre 1321 Scott Street and the Governor's Mansion. Hampton Arkansas native Harry Thomason directed 19 episodes, 1987-1991.
