A movie poster for "A Face in the Crowd", a film written by Budd Schulberg and based on his short story entitled "Your Arkansas Traveler". The story centers on a drifter named Larry "Lonesome" Rhodes, who is discovered by the producer of a small-market radio program in rural northeast Arkansas. Rhodes gains celebrity as a singer and becomes drunk with power. The movie takes place in a fictional Arkansas town called Pickett and was filmed in Piggott (Clay County), Arkansas and Paragould (Greene County), Arkansas.
